Fitness Classes and Intensity Levels

Group Class Format

Each of our classes integrate a variety of fitness disciplines with a central emphasis. Intensity levels are offered as a guide, but students are encouraged to work at their own pace. Try different classes to find the right mix for you!

Rowing
Mobility

Rowbility

Intensity Level: 5 – 7

Our cornerstone class focuses on getting your heart rate up while taking periodic mobility “breaks.” Even if you think you move frequently, there are areas of the body that are missed in our everyday life. We teach you the why and the how. This class is designed to not only give you a great workout, but to also to educate you. You will be moving throughout this class, spending time on the water rower while practicing precision in movement with mobility and strength drills.

This efficient, 30-minute class will give you a total body workout!

Registration required. No experience necessary. Indoor footwear required.

Rowlates

Intensity Level: 5 – 7

Rowing and Pilates for a great combination of cardio and core. Suitable for all students who are looking to advance their Pilates and core training techniques with complex movements (using props such as small weights, resistance bands and suspension training) that will challenge your core from every possible angle. Modified for all levels, our instructors focus on fun and challenging movement with steady progressions.

Core Sculpt Row

Intensity Level: 7-8

Core Circuit Row will tone your entire body by training all your major muscle groups. Alternating intervals with ab work, sculpting and strength training at its best combined with rowing. Nothing is off limits: kettlebells, suspension training, resistance band training and rowing, you’ll do it all in this dynamic class.  A true full body workout!

Rowlicious Sunday Brunch

Intensity Level: 8-9

This isn’t your mom’s idea of brunch!  Instead, we invite you to start your Sunday off right with a deliciously intense rowing workout. In this 60-minute class, you’ll challenge yourself with different intensity levels and have fun doing it!

Intensity Level: 7 – 8

Kettlebell training will strengthen you while building bone mass and increasing flexibility. This class includes kettlebells along with other strength tools such as ropes, gladiator walls, and resistance bands. Our kettlebell classes are small so that great attention can be paid to form.

Movement, Mobility, and Muscle

Intensity Level: 7 – 8

Good movement is essential to looking and feeling your best! This class will ensure you get it all, we will work your full body and include mobility, strength, cardio, and core exercises. We will use all of the equipment and tools available at Uncommon Age, expect to move, sweat, and have fun.

Core Strength & Conditioning

Intensity Level: 7

This unique hour is designed for those who are wanting a relatively gentle yet focused entrance back into the world of working out. We will incorporate resistance band training, body weight exercises, mobility drills, along with some light kettlebell work, such as squats, planks and deadlifts.

GYROKINESIS® + a Hint of Cardio

Intensity Level: 3-5

A series of seated and floor movements that focuses on dynamic movement and joint mobility, This class incorporates the principles of the Gyrotonic Method, Qi Gong, Pilates and Yoga. We focus on movement of all joints, particularly the spine while working on fluidity and range of motion by stimulating the nervous system. We also add in some circuits for the last 15-20 minutes for that extra fun factor!  No experience necessary.

Somatics for Pain & Performance

Intensity Level: 1-2

Just like any other skill, creating new habits require practice. The slow, gentle, and safe movement patterns taught in this class will reprogram your brain to muscle connection, create efficient movement and improve your self-awareness. These movements are basic to all human movement – running, walking, reaching, bending. When you remember how to move without overly contracted muscles, your movement is more efficient, effortless and your pain disappears!

This gentle, flowing yoga practice is designed to release tension, increase mobility and build strength. Learn to breathe effectively and move mindfully. Perfect for those students who are new to yoga as well as those who have been practicing for years.
